Social Media: Beyond Just Traffic Building (9/5/12)
Having a presence and pushing content on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn is both a big opportunity and a challenge for publishers. But to succeed, social media has to be treated as its own environment, not just an add-on for other editorial and sales channels. Here from top editors and media marketers on how to determine objectives, drive engagement and make social media pay for your brand.
Introduction to Business Reporting: (10/10/12)
Every market is different but the core of business journalism remains the same: identify the issue, illustrate how it’s being addressed, and present the outcome and solution. But business reporting requires an understanding of business itself. This webinar offers editors a course must-have knowledge including understanding and knowing what to look for in financial statements and how to apply that to a larger understanding of their market.
Designing a Tablet Edition for B-to-B: (11/7/12)
Tablet editions are a priority for many b-to-b publishers but the quickest way to lose your audience is offering a frustrating experience. Facsimiles of print editions don’t work anymore, but neither do bells and whistles that impress the edit and design staff more than the reader. This webinar offers a primer in creating a winning experience for your user on the tablet, from layout and design to extra features that make sense (and identifying those that don’t). This webinar offers a look forward at how tablet design and creation will be changed by emerging systems such as HTML5.
Transforming Your Sales Force: Developing a Consultative Seller (12/5/12)
Publishers and media companies never stopped selling. But one-sheets and straight pitches don’t cut it anymore. Media sales forces today have to be expert not only in select media channels (print, digital, events), they have to take a consultative approach to develop an integrated, recurring solution for the client. Join us as leading experts offer tangible takeaways for junior and mid-level salespeople on starting conversations with clients, understanding their needs, creating the right pricing packages and producing surefire projects that stay in the black and win a loyal customer.
