Programmatic ads and real-time bidding for undersold inventory can help make up the gap in metrics and the gap in revenue. However, marketers used to paying consumer prices for clicks and views may balk at the prices B2B traffic can command. One solution is to stick to private exchanges that serve savvy B2B marketers.

2/25/2014 - The Alliance for Audited Media (AAM) has released their semi-annual Newspaper and Periodical Snapshot report, which contains the circulation numbers of the top 25 business publications in the U.S. and Canada as tracked by the firm. The data, which covers the second half of 2013, takes into account the average sum of paid and qualified non-paid subscribers for each issue of a given periodical.

2/18/2014 - Praetorian Group, Inc. has announced the purchase of Fire Chief magazine’s assets – including the trademark, mailing lists and the Web domain – from former owner Penton. The periodical was shuttered last November after 57 years of publication, but Praetorian plans to relaunch it as a digital brand, beginning with an e-mail newsletter and website redesign later this month.

2/5/2014 - Praetorian Group, Inc. has announced a partnership with Drakontas LLC, a software and communications firm geared toward providing solutions for the government sector. As a result of this deal, Drakontas’s DragonForce software will be incorporated into Praetorian’s PoliceOne Network, a news resource and directory for the law enforcement industry.
