8/13/2014 - Following its sale last week to new private equity firm Observer Capital, SourceMedia is ready to strike down the M&A path, according to CEO Doug Manoni.
8/7/2014 - Two years after first shopping the publisher around, Investcorp has found a buyer in a new equity firm helmed by New York media executive Joseph Meyer. Sources quoted at Fortune and Folio peg the deal in the $50 to $60 million range.
7/23/2014 - Stepping further into the b-to-b ecosystem, LinkedIn has bought Bizo for $175 million, 10 percent of that in stock and the rest in cash. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter. LinkedIn says it will integrate Bizo's Media Solutions and Multi-Channel Nurturing products, but not its data solutions business.

6/24/2014 - Genstar Capital has announced the signing of a deal that would see the private equity firm acquire ABM member Asset International (AI), a b-to-b publisher and data provider for the asset management industry. The deal is expected to close in July. Terms were not released.
6/5/2014 - Seven years after private equity firm Wasserstein & Co sold legal publisher ALM to British Publisher Incisive Media and private equity firm Apax Partners, Wasserstein plans re-acquisition. According to ALM president and CEO Bill Carter, the deal will enable ALM to "further capitalize on our proprietary data and current production portfolio, drive growth, enhancing our digital platform and broaden the distribution of our leading products and services.”
6/4/2014 - The Alliance for Audited Media (AAM) has announced a merger with the Interactive Media Services Group, or ImServices. Effective as of May 30, the union ensures that AAM will have access to ImServices’ complete array of interactive media auditing services.
5/23/2014 - Earlier this month, Everyday Health Professional joined ABM as the association’s newest media member. A provider of online medical and healthcare solutions for practitioners and patients, Everyday Health manages a network of Web and media properties ranging from MayoClinic.org to JillianMichaels.com.

2/18/2014 - Praetorian Group, Inc. has announced the purchase of Fire Chief magazine’s assets – including the trademark, mailing lists and the Web domain – from former owner Penton. The periodical was shuttered last November after 57 years of publication, but Praetorian plans to relaunch it as a digital brand, beginning with an e-mail newsletter and website redesign later this month.
2/5/2014 - Praetorian Group, Inc. has announced a partnership with Drakontas LLC, a software and communications firm geared toward providing solutions for the government sector. As a result of this deal, Drakontas’s DragonForce software will be incorporated into Praetorian’s PoliceOne Network, a news resource and directory for the law enforcement industry.
