Architectural Record to be given award at Neal ceremony for record number of wins
Most-honored publication to receive special recognition for tradition of excellence
Mar. 4, 2014 – At the 60th Annual Jesse H. Neal Awards ceremony on March 14, a special award will be given to Architectural Record in honor of the 28 Neals it has received since 1955 – more than any other publication. Accepting the award will be publisher Laura Viscusi.
Serving its industry for over 120 years, Architectural Record's magazine and website offer industry news and analysis, design material, technical information on buildings and strategies for architects and design professionals. Record’s website also hosts a continuing education platform intended to help increase knowledge and competence in the field.
Since its first win in 1967, Architectural Record has maintained a constant presence at the Neal Awards, culminating in a Grand Neal victory in 2012. This year, the publication is a finalist in the “Best Technical Content,” “Best Single Issue of a Magazine,” “Best Theme Issue of a Magazine or Newspaper” and “Best Use of Social Media” categories.
"We're thrilled that the Neal Awards is honoring Architectural Record for winning more Neals than any other publication, and we're proud to hold that record," said Cathleen McGuigan, editor-in-chief of Architectural Record, in an exclusive statement to ABM. "Congratulations to the Neal Awards for 60 years of promoting editorial excellence in our industry."
