ABM, Outsell set to probe latest mobile trends

Aug. 22, 2012 - ABM is partnering with research firm Outsell Inc. to identify the major trends in business-to-business content production for smartphones and tablets. This research project intends to survey media and information professionals on their opinions, their expectations for use of mobile devices, the value they’ve achieved compared to their expectations and the ways in which their objectives are changing.

Outsell brings a deep research expertise to the project, as well as experience in questionnaire design and a significant strength in statistical analysis. In addition to ABM’s core familiarity with the leading b-to-b companies, ABM also brings data collection and analysis skills to the partnership. The results of the research will be jointly presented by ABM and Outsell on the first day of ABM’s Executive Forum in Chicago on Oct. 22.

“The mobile opportunity is huge, but b-to-b media and information companies are trying to determine where to invest, how to build and which performance metrics are most important,” said Matt Kinsman, ABM's vice president of content and programming. “Through this research, ABM and Outsell will offer ABM members the benchmarks to help understand and execute on those opportunities.”

Any b-to-b media professional is welcome to participate in the research and receive a copy of the final report -- and one respondent will be chosen at random to win a WiFi 16GB iPad3. To take the 10-minute survey, click here.
