ABM members named in "Who's Who" list in b-to-b

July 17, 2012 - BtoB Magazine has released this year's version of its annual "Who's Who" Special Report , featuring key thought leaders who are transforming the business-to-business marketing industry. The compilation of individuals spans 10 categories — marketers, business media, social media, digital and search, associations, demand generation, agencies, direct marketing, email marketing and events — and highlights several ABM members in business media, mostly for progressing their companies deeper into digital media. Nominations were submitted by readers, marketing organizations, industry experts and the magazine's editorial staff.

John French, CEO of Cygnus Business Media, attained "Who's Who" status for leading the company out of bankruptcy and focusing on digital media. French also restructured the organization, allowing publishers to have "free rein to take advantage of digital, mobile and tablet opportunities."

Peter Goldstone, CEO of Hanley Wood, secured his nomination by expanding Hanley Wood's digital and mobile presence in the construction industry. Goldstone rejoined the company earlier this year, and former CEO Frank Anton was named chairman.

David Kieselstein, CEO of Penton Media and member of ABM's Board of Directors, joined the company after directing TNS North America, a provider of marketing services. Using his extended knowledge, Kieselstein is leading a marketing initiative at Penton, allowing the company to pursue profits in the burgeoning digital arena.

BtoB Magazine cites Advanstar CEO Joe Loggia’s recruitment prowess as "Who's Who" worthy. Earlier this year, Loggia brought former Vogue executive Tom Florio on board to serve as CEO of the Advanstar Fashion Group and the MAGIC trade shows. He is also a member of ABM's Board of Directors.

After being charged to lead SourceMedia after its takeover in 2010, nominee Doug Manoni, CEO, has focused efforts on building a digital presence. Other initiatives include expanding its marketing services, research capabilities and training program. Manoni is currently serving a term as ABM's secretary.

Also highlighted in the "Who's Who" list, in the digital and search category, is Russell Glass, CEO of Bizo Inc and another member of ABM's Board of Directors. Glass leads the Bizo team that recently introduced a "self-service retargeting offering," allowing marketers to re-engage with website visitors after they've left a site. BtoB also notes the company's recently premiered real-time bidding exchange for business news, technology and industry publishers.
