July 11, 2012 - Norm Pearlstine, chief content officer for Bloomberg LP and chairman of Bloomberg BusinessWeek, will be the opening keynote speaker for ABM’s Executive Forum, which will be held Oct. 22-23 in Chicago.
The title for the event is “Drive Recurring Revenue: Paid Content and Business Information Models,” which focuses on how the b-to-b space can drive new revenue from data and business information products (often from products and content they already own) while developing stable, predictable revenue that can be counted on month to month, quarter to quarter, year to year.
Pearlstine will talk about the balance of paid and free products, including the dramatic reorganization that set Bloomberg on its current path of success, offering multiple revenue and content models from free to paid, individual subscription to corporate packages.
Building off ABM’s recent Annual Conference, themed “The Customer-Driven Future,” the Executive Forum will offer actionable takeaways for driving recurring revenue. Sessions will focus on creating a community of paid members through premium content, research and peer-to-peer networking, building data revenue with both end user and marketer-targeted products, why corporate licensing and subscriptions may trump paywalls for b-to-b, how live events kick-start data and marketing services business (and vice versa), and how b-to-b companies can find hidden revenue in 10 untapped areas that they already own.
